The 2018 central Texas tornado sequence was a day where about 130 tornadoes touched down. Most of the tornadoes were rated EF0-EF2, or 96%, the other 4% were EF3-EF4 tornadoes. One tornado specifically named the Damaging Brownwood County Tornado did so much damage it was rated one of the costliest tornadoes in history doing 3.54 Billion dollars in damage, almost completely demolishing the entire town the tornado killed

The following message was transmitted at the request of the Moran police department... a damaging tornado just hit the town of Brownwood in Brownwood county, this is a state of emergency for Brownwood...Debris is blocking the roads blocking off all travel, if you are in the town of Brownwood. Do NOT make any unnecessary travel, if you do bring a SRVVL KIT incase you get stranded, to repeat, a state of emergency was declared for the town of Brownwood until further notice...

After the tornado died, survey teams were sent out, one team surveyed 2 houses violently ripped from their foundation, they were poorly built. Thus is was not worthy for a EF5 rating. Therefore this tornado was rated an EF4, it took about 7 years for Brownwood to repair from this deadly tornado.
