This 3.9 mile wide tornado was the one deadliest tornado ever recorded. On 5-22-2022, The tornado touched down near fort smith and quickly gathered strength. As it passed through Fort Smith, It was quickly rated EF-5 as it reportedly destroyed downtown. It progressed on, going northwest to hit Guthrie, OK and then made its way through Siloam Springs, Bentonville, and Rogers. 1,386 of the deaths happened there. It picked up the Walmart Home Office, and carried it to Joplin. The entire city of Joplin was impacted by 200+ mph winds until the tornado dissipated. The tornado was rated EF-6, due to taking debris 60+ miles and destroying Rogers.
