3 tornadoes touched down in Poland over an 8 hour period as a result of a powerful winter storm moving in from the Black Sea. As the storm moved ashore, it became highly sheared, enabling a supercell to develop within the systems circulation. The first tornado touched down at 2130 hours in Chojnice, which moved out towards Torun, though thankfully, it weakened and dissipated before reaching the town. It was later rated as a T5 by Torro, the most significant tornado of the outbreak.
January 22[]
A T5 tornado touched down in Spain, killing 1 and injuring 17 others along a 4 mile path across open country. Millions of Euros in damage was inflicted in the areas impacted by the storm.
