The San Francisco Tornado was a Historic event that happened on January 3rd, 2015. According to the National Weather Service in San Francisco, it’s rating was a EF-5 with winds at 267 MPH.

The event begins in San Francisco where NWS Doppler Radar indicated Severe Thunderstorms with a history of producing Supercells that were moving south heading for the city. At around 2:30, a rotation wall cloud was hovering over downtown San Francisco. About 6 minutes later, the tornado touched down. Tornado warnings were issued for the city. At around 2:50, storm spotters reported the tornado at the Golden Gate Bridge, destroying it. 7 minutes later, the tornado reached EF-4 status with winds over 187 MPH. Between 3:00-3:10, the tornado was heading towards Los Angeles. It’s was picking up trees, cars, and people. By 3:15, the tornado was in Downtown Los Angeles. It was destroying the skyline. By 4:30, it started to weaking.
