As hurricane Dorian tracks closer and closer to the Carolinas, many people are concerned with what severe weather could be produced there. The main part of severe weather is in Eastern North Carolina, with an enhanced risk there. There is a marginal risk for Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota. There is actually a 15% chance for tornadoes in Jacksonville North Carolina and surrounding areas. Pictures of what is happening below. One mare area of concern in in Washington state. There is only a marginal risk for severe storms there. As you will notice, there isn’t a great risk for wind or hail, due to the severe weather being produced by a hurricane.
